Renata Konopelna, ‘Renia’ to her friends, started her professional painting career in 2013, which not by chance coincided with the opening, in her backyard at 5A Roosevelt Street, of the OKAP -  Backyard Cultural Activity Centre. The consistency of style as well as the range of compositions used by the artist could raise doubts as to whether her artistic experience is really that confined. But such an intensity of work and the great number of works could be explained by her unquestionable talent, which has been dormant for years. In spite of her short career, Renia has already had three solo exhibitions, one at OKAP and two at the matey Contours of Culture. She is also one of the most engaged OKAP artists, among other projects, participating in the almost 250-meter-long mural project in her own backyard.

The objects of Renata’s works are people, flowers, trees and animals, though it would be difficult to avoid the impression that these are just an excuse for purely pictorial, extremely sensitive colour games, which is also evident in her equally numerous abstract paintings. At the "Colour Noise" exhibition we show her latest works, in which colour combinations and complex linear and pointillist compositions are presented together with figurative works, allowing the viewer to fully capture the entire spectrum of emotions with which Renia is effectively transferring in her colourloving paintings. At the exhibition we present acrylic paintings on canvas and on paper as well as works on paper in mixed techniques of colour drawing.
