Within the framework of the event accompanying the exhibition of artists associated with the ArtBrut Gallery & Studio BEYOND TABOO XI. MYSTERIOUS, HIDDEN, SECRET, we invite you to a meeting with barrister Emilia Mądrecka and journalist Maciej Żurawski. The meeting will be an opportunity to explore the role of secrecy and its importance in various aspects of life – professional confidentiality, privacy, and state secrets.
The meeting will be moderated by Katarzyna Kaczorowska, a Wrocław-based journalist connected with the Polityka weekly and a social activist
Emilia Mądrecka – barrister, a Faculty of Law, Administration, and Economics graduate from the University of Wrocław. Since July 2014, she has been an advocate registered on the list of the District Bar Council in Wrocław. She has many years of experience handling cases in the broad field of medical law and servicing medical operators, as well as criminal trials and compensation cases. She is the author of articles on criminal proceedings.
Maciej Żurawski – television journalist (Long Live Cinema, Paragraph 148 – the death penalty), documentary filmmaker (My Mikstat, The Worlds of Jan Jakub K.), director (Villa, video clips: Lech Janerka, Świetliki), vocalist (Siła Przebicia). Graduate of the Institute of Polish Philology at Wrocław University. Since 1992, he has continuously collaborated with TVP Wrocław (as well as with TVP Polonia, Polsat, Radio ESKA and Radio Kolor). In 2016, he published his debut crime novel Black Volga, set in Wrocław in 1983.
