The theme of the accompanying event will be the formation of an art collection with particular reference to Polish artists of the art brut and outsider art movements, using the example of the collection built within the framework of the non-commercial socio-cultural project i.e. Wrocław ArtBrut Gallery & Studio. The collection of nearly 600 works by over 40 artists, has diverse work form and includes objects, drawings and paintings as well as texts, photographs and video artworks.
Marta Derejczyk, Renata Tańczuk and Konrad Ciszkowski will be the guests of the meeting. The event will also be attended by the artists of the ArtBrut Gallery, the exhibition's artistic mentor Dominik Podsiadły and the exhibition's producer Marta Wiśniewska.
The meeting will be moderated by Katarzyna Kaczorowska, a Wrocław-based journalist from the Polityka weekly and a social activist.

The event will begin at 4.30 p.m. with the presentation of the exhibition and the collection, followed by a talk with the invited guests at 5 p.m. Afterwards, a discussion with all those attending the event is planned.
We would like this meeting to become a pretext for a broader discussion about the place of Polish art brut and outsider art in contemporary art and culture in Poland, about the possibilities of supporting artists with disabilities and about the difficulties and concerns that the ArtBrut Gallery faces with regard to the future of its collection.
Therefore, we strongly encourage everyone to this discussion, especially people from the world of culture and art, collectors, representatives of cultural institutions and authorities.
