The exhibition of portraits of the artists of the ArtBrut Gallery & Studio closes the year celebrating the 15th anniversary of this extraordinary place.
The portraits by Krzysztof Ćwik result from a meeting, the establishment of a relationship between the female and male artists of ArtBrut Gallery and the photographer. The exhibition, which results from several months of cooperation, is a reflection on the identity and individuality of each of the people depicted; it is an attempt to capture the individual code followed by each of the people depicted, showing the diversity of their artistic worlds. Video recordings are also part of the exhibition, being a backstage record of the session work on the photographs.
About the author of the photographs: Krzysztof Ćwik – photographer, video artist, photojournalist working daily with, among others, ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ and the Polish Press Agency.
