OPENING EVENTS:

• – the gala opening of the exhibition in the ArtBrut Gallery and Studio,
• – a performance by Michał Bujnicki,
• – launching of the Bicycle for ArtBrut, a performative installation by Tomasz Opania, collaboration by Wojciech Chrubasik, in the backyard of 46 Ruska Street,
• – a performance by Dariusz Lech A Nightmare,
• – Rafał Jęczmyk's concert with visualisation of the works of the artists of the ArtBrut Gallery and Studio, in the Reception,
• – presentation of the new edition of the Maquette installation made by the artists of the ArtBrut Gallery and Studio and Jerzy Kosałka, Studio of Jerzy Kosałka (46C/105 Ruska Street),
• – presentation of the Family Dinnerware Set for the Salt Scow by Luxus and Krzysztof Wałaszek, Studio of Jerzy Kosałka (46C/105C Ruska Street),
• – artistic catering provided by the Food Think Tank,
• – community dance in the Reception with the sounds of DJ Eskiman.

We have made the notion of COMMUNITY the central theme of the exhibition. One can hope that the reflections on its various aspects, such as the community of space, activity, communication, creation and support, will lead the artists to unconventional questions and unobvious answers. What is a community? Do we need it or do we miss it, how do we create it? What are the threats to it?

The BEYOND TABOO VI. COMMUNITY exhibition closes the celebrations of the 10th Anniversary of the ArtBrut Gallery and Studio, and in addition to art brut artists, we have also invited contemporary artists, curators, people of culture, friends and people connected with this place – to join us. The invitation was also addressed to all those who cooperate in establishing a creative community of the backyard at 46 Ruska Street.
