Biography

Marta Kowalska has been associated with ArtBrut Gallery since 2013. She chronicles everyday life in photographs taken with a mobile phone. Her photos are at once involved and detached. The style and colours of Marta’s large-format self-portraits, which were shown as part of the „Antidote” project, evoke Rembrandt-era paintings. She also makes drawings.
