Biography

Joanna Golachowska makes drawings, collages and objects characterised by the diversity of techniques used, presenting separate micro-worlds marked with mysterious signs or descriptions. Her works refer to feelings, intimacy, dreams, noting the emotions registering the phenomena of everyday world and the uneasy coexistence in there. The artist also deals with photography – she takes pictures of everyday events, people and herself. She also produces bold music video clips. The world created by Joanna is a significant showcase of her relationships with her loved ones, and the privacy she reveals gives the impression of communion with something subtle and delicate, important and precious.
She has been associated with the ArtBrut Gallery & Studio since their inception in 2009.
